Geologist / Mining Law Manager and Specialist

Harieny holds a bachelor’s degree in Geology from UNAMA – Amazon University (State of Pará, Brazil) and a specialization in Mineral Rights from CEDIN, under the Brazilian Institute of Mineral Rights (IBDM). She gained valuable experience working at the Brazilian National Mining Agency for two years, contributing to the Mineral Exploration and Mining Dams departments. Additionally, she worked with the French multinational company Imerys in Pará, Brazil. Currently, Harieny serves as a consultant and manager of Mineral Rights across Brazil, offering specialized technical advisory services in mineral exploration and regulatory compliance for AN MINERALS since 2022.

MARLON ALVES

Geologist

Marlon graduated in Geology from UFMT – Federal University of Mato Grosso (Cuiabá-MT) and has a Master in Geochemistry/Economic Geology from UFRGS – Federal University from Rio Grande do Sul (Porto Alegre, RS), and is a PhD student at UFAM – Federal University of Amazonas (Manaus). He has worked in companies such as VALE S/A (Serra dos Carajás – Pará), Angloamerican (Goiás ), ANGLOFERROUS/MMX (Amapá), GRUPO PARANAPANEMA (Brazil) and Grupo Minsur and also holds the positions of Mining Technologist Professor and Professor of the Technical Course in Mining in the University of the State of Amazonas.

DR ASSHETON CARTER

The Impact Facility Founder and Executive Advisor
Dr. Carter has 25 years of experience creating business value for shareholders, communities and society through business sustainability and responsible investment. He has managed over US$100 million in donor funds. He co-founded Spartacus Capital Mining Fund, a private equity firm dedicated to ESG investments and was a member of the founding team of Althelia Ecosphere, an asset manager focused on the generation of REDD+ credits. For ten years he was board advisor at Goldlake Mining, a responsible gold mining enterprise in Honduras. He has 5 year-experience in managing SRI funds and currently sits on the advisory board of the Proterra mining fund and is also the CEO of TDi Sustainability and director and co-founder of MAKAL, an ethical jewelry brand. Assheton holds a first-class degree from the Royal Agricultural University and a PhD from the University of Bath.
